Hello! I'm Victoria
I'm a self-taught artist based in the UK.
I have painted for as long as I can remember. I particularly fell in love with art and the creative process way back in middle school where I had a wonderfully inspirational art teacher who taught me the messy joys of papier-mâché and lino printing.
Now, after 20 years of experience across a wide variety of media, I focus primarily on mid - large scale acrylic landscape paintings. With some ink drawings and photography.
I recently took a leap of faith and left behind my accountancy career to pursue my dream of living by the sea and becoming a full time artist... it's still a work in progress, but I'm loving the journey!
My artwork is inspired by nature and the vistas I discover whilst out exploring in the wilds of the world.
Forever seeking beauty in the world, I love to travel and I am always planning my next adventure; soaking up local culture, indulging in regional cuisine and gaining inspiration for future paintings.
When out in the great wide yonder I take plenty of photos. I use these, along with my memories and experiences of these places, as source material to create my artwork.
I spend my days creating in the studio with my furry little studio assistant Sula, who is honestly more of a hinderance than a help but we won't tell her that. I (and my house) are constantly covered in paint, forever chasing that perfect painting.
When I am not in the studio, I love to be beside the sea (preferably in the rain - I'm odd that way) or you'll find me in the kitchen cooking some Asian influenced cuisine.
I love to read, especially sci-fi and fantasy (yes, I'm a bit of a nerd). My favourite author (in case you were wondering) is N. K. Jemisin, look up her works, they are fantastic! I love curling up by the fire and losing myself in a great work of fiction.
I get lost for hours in the colours of my painting, it’s amazing the sense of wellbeing it brings – it makes me feel so calm and happy.

Victoria let me take part in its creation with colour selection and check-ins throughout its journey – I love my incredible bespoke painting!

You can tell an artist is talented when you fall in love with what they originally called their 'rough work!' I saw this in a photo and couldn't believe it wasn't a full concept. I happily snapped it up and is sat pride of place in my living room. This painting calms me and gives me joy each time I look at it.
